Finally! I found an effective make up remover that won't break the bank! Little story, I went to The Face Shop to buy a sharpener and an eyelash curler and when I am about to checkout, there was this product on the counter belonging to another customer. I squinted my eyes trying to focus on the text written. My vision tunneled into "Lip & Eye Remover". The product name was a bit barbaric and brutal, but I naturally assumed that it was Lip & Eye MAKE UP remover, like a normal human would assume. I asked the staff the price and it was a steal at P350, so I asked the staff to get me one. The point of the story? If it wasn't for my chismosa and nosy tendencies, I wouldn't have discovered this product!
The bottle contains 120ml of the product. It is separated into two layers - a milky white layer on top of a clear liquid. Can I just say, this product smells REALLY good. It's a milky and powdery scent, oddly satisfying.
Description
"This two-phase, dual-action makeup remover gently removes make up from the eye and lip. Formulated with Rice Extract with powerful and moisturizing formula."
It claims to be suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
Application
Application
Shake the bottle vigorously until the two layers mix together. Pour a small amount of the product on a cotton pad. Put and press lightly on the eyes and/or lips for a couple of seconds. Gently wipe on and rinse with lukewarm water. Be careful not to get any product inside your eyes.

This is how it looks like after shaking. See there's no separation of product. |
Now let's put the product to the test.
Here I swatched several eye and lip products. See photo description for the product names.
From top to bottom: MAC lipliner in burgundy, MAC Viva Glam IV, Nyx lip creme, Benefit They're Real Mascara and Push up Liner, the two eyeshadows on the side are Lorac Pro's Gold and Deep Purple |
Here's after a few swipes of the product on the left half of the swatches. You will notice that even the Benefit They're Real mascara and push up liner, both waterproof, did not stand a chance with this product.
Completely gone with just gentle circular motions!
My final thoughts? Me and my wallet are happy with this product - very affordable and effective. I was about to buy the Benefit They're Real make up remover since the mascara and eyeliner were a pain to remove. Good thing I followed my nosy instincts and purchased this one. \ Do you have any recommendations from The Face Shop? Share them with me! This made me want to explore The Face Shop's skincare line.
