Ortigas Eats: Ajisen Ramen

Ajisen Ramen is a newly opened restaurant in Ortigas. Finally, another Japanese restaurant! I have been eyeing this place out even before, when it was only all tables and chairs. We tried it last week, since we were undecided on what to have for dinner that day and the weather is particularly chilly.

A brief history, Ajisen Ramen originally is from Kumamoto Japan and already has expanded internationally to Australia, Canada, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, the United States, and now the Philippines. The name comes from their ramen's main ingredients, the Ajisen Oil and Ajisen Powder. These two are responsible for their ramen's unique taste and flavor. The noodles are 100% made of whole wheat and they use Okinawa Natural Seasalt for their dishes

The restaurant is located at Ground Floor, OCAI Building, Garnet Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig city. It is just beside the Ortigas post office.

The place has good ambiance and I am amazed with the variety of food options in this restaurant.

We decided to try two of their bestsellers, the Ajisen and Chasu ramen. Food is served with complimentary house tea.

Here are their house specialty ramens. Their bestsellers include Ajisen, Chasu, and Beef Teppanyaki

They have a variety of specialty maki ranging from P225 to P655. The rainbow roll is quite intriguing.

They also have the all-time favorite maki options such as the California, Futo, Maguro, Tamago, Sake, Kani, Spicy Tuna and Unagi which are more affordable.

Here are the rest of their menu pages. I am overwhelmed with the variety of food choices!

I will come back for sure and try some of their other selections - Donburi, Specialty Maki, and Nigiri Sushi. The price is quite steep but it is within the range of what you usually expect from a Japanese restaurant. So if you are in Ortigas and craving for some Japanese cuisine, you might want to drop by Ajisen Ramen and try it for yourself.
