Everyday Essentials

Here are the products that I always need by my side every single day to survive. Okay, that was a little too dramatic, but seriously. I try my best to wake up early so that I can at least put on my sunblock, a lightweight foundation, a concealer for my dark under eye circles, a little blush, and some lip color before I rush to work. All the other products I apply little by little as the day progresses. There are some days that I go out with my face completely done but those events are rare nowadays.

I am not an expert when it comes to make up application but I can say that I can whip up a pretty decent look when given enough time.

This is listed in order of importance:

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
This concealer is simply amazing. I have tried several concealers before but my dark under eye circles are just too stubborn. This product blends seamlessly and it does live up to its name – Instant Age Rewind. Essie Button, Jaclyn Hill, and Tati are some of the beauty gurus who swear by it. This is not available locally so you have to search for an online store either through Instagram or Facebook. I bought mine at LipstickAllUCan.

MAC Mineralize Foundation
If I skip the liquid foundation, which is almost every time, this is what I use. I apply this after the concealer. You will be surprised at how much coverage it does considering that it is powder and very lightweight. If I was able to apply liquid foundation, I usually apply this after all the non-powder products. I use my Real Techniques powder brush for this one.

If you want to get your MLBB on - "My Lips But Better"
Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip and Cheek Mousse in The Morning After
This product is by Happy Skin, a current cult favorite here in the Philippines. This product is velvety on the first application and sets as a matte finish. Its doe foot applicator is fool proof. It makes the application on the different lip areas a breeze. If I can only bring one lip product on my bag this will be it. It’s such a shame that it was only recently that I decided to dabble on this brand.

Happy Skin's The Morning After and Mac's Fashion Revival
MAC matte lipstick in Fashion Revival
This is my current go-to berry lipstick. It’s matte but not drying. The staying power is very impressive. You can use this on its own or with a lip liner to prevent the product from feathering around your lips. I use MAC lip liner in Burgundy with this.

Mary Kay Mineral Blush in Champagne Gold
Came off a bit purplish out of the container

Mary Kay Mineral Blush in Champagne Rose
I just love this blush. I am not a big fan of shimmer in my blush but with this I have to make an exception. The shimmer in this is not glittery but rather iridescent with a tinge of gold in it. Great product with great staying power. It suits the Pinay skin tone. I just wish they modify the packaging though which is a bit flimsy. I use Real Techniques Powder brush for this.

VMV Hypoallergenics Armada Face and Body Shield 60
A dermatologist friend told me that it is of grave importance to put sunscreen every single day or else your old age skin will have to pay for it. She gave me this product when we were in Boracay. It has SPF 60 and I personally am a fan of this since it is not sticky and is very lightweight. As much as you can, do not skip the sunblock!

So there you have it, the top products I use every day.  I do use a mascara and some eyebrow products but I can skip it any time. I skip it most of the time, actually. There are other products on my makeup kit but the ones I mentioned above I pull out all the time.
